News: Service Changes from 30 May
Following the decision by Diamond Bus to cease operation of daytime service 142 running between Stourbridge and Halesowen calling at Stourbridge Junction Rail Station, Wollescote, Wynall, Huntingtree Road, Highfield Lane and Andrew Road, Central Buses will step in to take-over operation of the service from Tuesday 30 May 2017
Service 142 will run hourly daytime Monday to Saturday between Stourbridge and Halesowen. We’ve made a few minor changes to the route to and from Halesowen with buses taking a more direct route along Highfield Lane and Andrew Road instead of Dunstall Road, Rosemary Road and Hagley Road.
Make connections at Stourbridge with service 125 – running hourly between Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Bewdley and Bridgnorth. We’ve teamed up with West Midlands Safari and Leisure Park to offer you great value for money entrance tickets into the venue – service 125 calls at the main entrance to the Safari and Leisure Park – buy entrance tickets from your friendly bus driver.
From the same date, Central Buses will also be stepping in to replace Diamond Bus on commuter service 108 between Reddicap Hill and Birmingham City Centre.
There will be 3 peak journeys per day in each direction, Monday to Friday, which will also divert via Sutton Coldfield & Penns Lane to replace peak journeys that were originally operated by National Express on Routes 15A and 15C.
